SUSTAINABILITY AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN GECO PANNELLI S.R.L.

At GECO PANNELLI S.R.L., we take pride in our recognized expertise in producing furniture components that meet every need, whether industrial or artisanal.

Our journey began in Italy’s leading district for this sector: the Triveneto area. Recently, we have expanded nationwide, receiving positive feedback from the most renowned furniture and semi-finished product companies.

Our company has always been deeply committed to the correct and sustainable use of forest resources. For this reason, we have decided to implement the Chain of Custody, certifying the trading and cut-to-size panel processing activities carried out at our facility in Annone Veneto (VE).

As a result of this decision, the Management will not engage with suppliers or purchase products originating from:

  • Illegal logging or the illicit trade of wood or forest products;
  • Violations of traditional or human rights related to forestry operations;
  • Destruction of high conservation values linked to forestry operations;
  • Significant conversion of forests into plantations or non-forest uses;
  • Introduction of genetically modified organisms into forestry operations.

With regard to its direct employees and contracted staff, the Management commits to operating in full compliance with legal health and safety requirements, and to respecting the fundamental labor principles recognized worldwide:

  1. Underage labor is strictly prohibited;
  2. Zero tolerance for discrimination based on gender, nationality, or religion;
  3. No form of coercion or exploitation of personnel;
  4. Freedom of association and the right to union representation and collective bargaining.

All personnel and collaborators have both the right and the duty to report to their managers regarding social issues, should their own rights or the rights of others be restricted or threatened.

The management of the Chain of Custody system is detailed in a specific internal manual, which outlines the procedures and rules to be followed.
