Cookie Policy

1. INTRODUCTION:
This Cookie Policy informs users about the types and functioning of cookies and other tracking tools used by our website. It also explains how to refuse or delete them.
Ge.co Pannelli S.r.l. acts solely as a technical intermediary for the third-party links provided and assumes no responsibility in the event of any changes made by the respective data controllers or editors.

2. DEFINITIONS AND CLASSIFICATIONS:
2.1 Cookies
As is commonly known, cookies are text strings that websites (so-called “publishers” or “first parties”) visited by the user, or different websites or web servers (“third parties”), place and store—directly, in the case of first-party cookies, or indirectly via the publishers, in the case of third-party cookies—on a user’s terminal device.
These terminals may be a computer, tablet, smartphone, or any other device capable of storing information. Increasingly, this also includes IoT (Internet of Things) devices, which are designed to connect to the internet and among each other to provide various services—not necessarily limited to communication.
Internet browsing software and the operation of these devices—e.g., browsers—can store cookies and then transmit them back to the sites that generated them during a subsequent visit, thereby keeping a record of the user’s previous interactions.
The information encoded in cookies may include personal data (such as an IP address, username, unique identifier, or email address), as well as non-personal data (such as language settings or device type used for browsing).
Cookies may serve several important functions, including session tracking, storing user configuration preferences, and enhancing the user experience. For example, cookies may be used to remember items in a shopping cart or auto-fill form fields.
While cookies help web pages load faster and route information across a network—thus enabling websites to operate—they are also used for behavioral advertising and for measuring the effectiveness of ads or customizing services based on observed user behavior.
Since cookies cannot be distinguished solely based on their technical characteristics, they are categorized as follows:
By origin:
1. First-party cookies: installed directly by the website’s operator on the user’s device.
2.Third-party cookies: installed by a different site via the website being visited.
By purpose:
– Technical cookies: used exclusively to carry out communication over an electronic communications network or strictly necessary to provide an information service explicitly requested by the user (per Article 122(1) of Legislative Decree 196/03). These cookies do not require user consent.
– Profiling cookies: used to associate specific behaviors or recurring usage patterns to identified or identifiable individuals to group profiles into multidimensional clusters, allowing the data controller to provide increasingly personalized services beyond what is strictly necessary for the provision of the service or sending targeted advertising according to users’ networking preferences. These cookies require user consent, which forms the legal basis for processing. The user must never be forced to provide consent without an alternative, otherwise access to the site cannot be restricted.
– Analytics cookies: used to perform analysis and statistics on site usage and visitor flow. On this website, these require user consent as their legal basis. Again, the user must not be compelled to give consent without alternative access, otherwise access to the site cannot be restricted.
2.2 Other Tracking Technologies
Other tracking technologies may be used for the same purposes as cookies.
For example, while cookies can be used in both web and mobile browsers, they are not suitable for mobile apps, which use other tracking tools that do not rely on browsers. Therefore, in this document, the term “cookie” refers specifically to that type of tracking tool. The same legal principles apply to all such technologies.
2.3 Classification Criteria
Below are the categories into which tracking tools (including cookies) are classified:
Necessary: Always active unless manually disabled in the browser settings. These ensure proper functioning of the site and are used only for electronic communication or to deliver a service explicitly requested by the user. Consent is not required. Without such cookies, the website may not function properly or certain features may be unavailable. Their legal basis is legitimate interest (i.e., proper site operation). These fall under the category of technical cookies.
Functional Cookies
These support specific features, such as video playback, social media content sharing, collecting feedback, and third-party integrations.
Refusal of these cookies does not limit any essential functionality of the site. Their legal basis is user consent.
